DylanFest Venues

DylanFest Venues

August 22nd to 25th

Greencastle

Castle Inn

This is the first time that the Castle Inn has taken part in the DylanFest on the Lough. It is an excellent spot for a Drag Act as it is mostly tables, it being a restaurant. Miss Mary Jane drag act will take place there on the Saturday and it is being tipped as probably the act with the biggest crowd at the festival.

It is nicely situated on the lough.

It seems that anyone eating there will get in free otherwise there will be a small charge. I was told that would be a fiver but that was a couple of months ago.

Moville

Rosatos Bar And Restaurant

Award winning bar and restaurant. Indeed Tony Bramwell, who was The Beatles road manager said it was one of his favourite pubs in the world – and he’s been in most of them.

He also said that if he knew someone who wanted to open a restaurant that he would advise them to come and see how it is done in Rosatos. “It works like clockwork” he said.

Oh, and you never get a bad meal there people say.

Corner Bar

A real traditional Irish pub with great craic, repartee and music. It has a real old fashioned and warm feel to it and it is probably Moville’s most popular music bar now. It will be a great place for Open Mics during the festival.

Rawdons Bar

One of Moville’s top music bars it has a real olde worlde look to it. You should go into it via the shop. It’s in the back of that. Paddy the Shoe, who will be holding an Open Mic there on he Friday brought up three generations of Dyan fans in Moville and has seen Dylan over 20 times.
